Riva 170th Anniversary

9th Annual Tournament Fore Dreams

Foundation for Dreams and Dream Oaks Camp is in its 12th year of operation, serving more than 600 individuals a year through our program. This is our 9th Annual Tournament Fore Dreams and our biggest fundraiser of the year. It will be held on August 16 & 17, 2012.

The first day is a silent auction/dinner & dancing and the second day is a four man scramble. All the money raised will be used for scholarships for children with special needs to attend our very special program.

New business succeeds at filling the house

Vino’s Picasso, Lee county’s first and only BYOB (bring your own beer/wine) paint studio, wine bar and art gallery launched in December. “I was months behind schedule and worried about it being too late into season” says 35 year old owner Mercedes Price Harry. “Getting the word out can take years for the average small business and missing the large crowds in season can devastate some new destinations in off season.” Vino’s Picasso has found a way to defy the odds.
