I’m always excited to write about a great new place I find and I’m pleased to tell you about PATRIC’S. The format is a wonderful Tapas menu served in an intimate homey setting that comfortably accommodates all patrons when at full capacity. I know, I’ve been performing at the popular dining room every Wednesday all season for some very receptive crowds. The comments about the food from customers are overwhelmingly positive. Which may explain why there are so many “regulars” making reservations to dine. The service is second to none in the area, I know, I perform in many of our area’s better venues as a soloist or with my band as many as 450 times each year.

The foundation of the successful restaurant is obviously based on a sound business philosophy as evidenced by the demand for the award winning Breakfasts, Lunches, Dinners and Catering Services provided to locals, tourists and businesses.

I had a chance to chat with the owner-operator who prefers to simply go by the name Patric and this is what I learned. “Everything on the menu is made from scratch with ingredients that were bought from local growers and purveyors. I believe in supporting local businesses, I think it’s all about the locals.” says Patric, and then jokes “And the only thing processed here are credit cards.” I have to admit it, I prefer fresh ingredients in my food.

I asked Patric where his culinary inspiration comes from and he told me his mother was a baker and that he paid attention while working under some really good chefs. There is no doubt of this in my mind as I have eaten many meals at the cozy spot. He admits that some of his more proud moments have happened since opening the business over three years ago which include being voted “Best Family Restaurant” by The Naples Daily News in 2011 and proudly displays his “Choice Star” award. Becoming Community Blood Center’s Corporate Contributor of the Year is also at the top of his list.

Among many other accolades, one stands out to me as I have found what I think is the best apple pie I’ve ever eaten. It was only after eating what would be the equivalent of several pies that I discovered the recipe is a close secret of Gary Teater, who wears many hats at the restaurant and won “Best Apple Pie” in Naples recently by the Naples Daily News. I would agree and highly recommend the Apple Pie. For Breakfast I recommend the Hash, for lunch I recommend the Grilled Chicken Sandwich and for dinner, the Mussels. Trust me…

I pressed Patric to tell me where he thought his business would be in ten years and he said he hopes to “one day add a bed and breakfast in the mountains near the Carolinas or Kentucky. ” I wish him much success with this dream.

I asked Patric about the Live music during dinner and he said “It’s like having dessert for your ears… the meal really isn’t complete without it…” I could not agree more. It is one of my favorite rooms to perform in and you can check out the entertainment calendar as well as the menu and much more information at www.patrics.com  or you can scan this QR code with your smart phone or simply find PATRIC’S in the App Store and download it for FREE Food!
