The Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center presents Florida Gulf Coast University Theater’s production of MUD, May 23 – 27. All performances begin at 8 p.m. at the Davis, 2301 First Street, in the River District.

Written by María Irene Fornés and directed by Brittney Brady, MUD is a fierce parable set in rural poverty. While Lloyd cares for the pig, Mae irons and attends school so she can realize her dream of escaping the poverty that currently holds her captive. But, with the arrival of Henry, her hopes begin to fade into the daily existence of caring for two people who imagine themselves to be helpless and hopelessly in love with Mae.

Tickets are $10.
