PACE NEW SOCIAL SERVICES MANGER
PACE Center for Girls of Lee County welcomes Alexa Matyas as social services manager. Matyas is responsible for overseeing the social services team in providing services to the PACE girls including intensive daily case management, familial and crisis counseling and psycho-educational groups.
Matyas has 12 years of experience in helping victimized youth and families having most recently served as the assistant program director of the Child Protection Team at Children’s Advocacy Center. She has also held positions with the Department of Children and Families and Lee Mental Health. Matyas is a graduate of the University of Florida and Florida Gulf Coast University specializing in psychology and mental health counseling.
PACE Center for Girls provides girls and young women an opportunity for a better future through education, counseling, training and advocacy. Since PACE Lee opened in February 2007, over 350 girls have found success in school, with their families, in their careers and in their communities.
